ORANGE-THYME SAUCE AND MARINADE FOR GRILLING

Orange-Thyme Sauce and Marinade for Grilling image

This is a great sauce over all types of meat, beef, pork and chicken. Remember to always pull some of the sauce to the side for basting or for serving with the meat and do not reuse any sauce used for marinading the meat as then it is contaminated.

2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 shallot, minced
1 clove garlic, minced

Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use fresh thyme and oranges. If you don't have fresh thyme, you can use 1 teaspoon of dried thyme.
  • Zest the oranges before juicing them. This will give the sauce a brighter, more citrusy flavor.
  • If you don't have orange liqueur, you can use another type of liqueur, such as Grand Marnier or Cointreau.
  • The sauce can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. When you're ready to use it, simply reheat it over low heat until warmed through.
  • The sauce can be used to marinate chicken, pork, or fish before grilling. It can also be used as a dipping sauce for grilled meats or vegetables.

Conclusion:

This orange-thyme sauce is a versatile and delicious way to add flavor to your grilled foods. It's easy to make and can be used as a marinade or a dipping sauce. So next time you're grilling, give this sauce a try. You won't be disappointed!
