Tips:

  • Use fresh oranges. Fresh oranges will give your rollouts the best flavor. If you don't have fresh oranges, you can use 1/2 cup of orange juice concentrate plus 1/2 cup of water.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing the dough will make the rollouts tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before rolling it out. Chilling the dough will make it easier to roll out and will help the rollouts hold their shape.
  • Use a light touch when rolling out the dough. Don't press too hard on the dough, or you will make the rollouts tough.
  • Cut the rollouts into even shapes. This will help them bake evenly.
  • Bake the rollouts at the right temperature. The rollouts should be baked at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
  • Let the rollouts cool before frosting them. This will help the frosting set properly.
