Time 20m

Yield 4-6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup pulp free orange juice
4 tablespoons melted butter
3 tablespoons grated orange zest

Steps:

  • In large bowl sift together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.
  • In separate bowl combine eggs, milk, orange juice and butter; beat well. Add orange zest to egg mixture ; pour this into flour mixture beating well until mixture is smooth.
  • Ladle onto hot, well-oiled waffle iron and cook until waffles are golden. Serve hot with butter, jam and syrup.

Tips:

  • Use fresh oranges for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh oranges, you can use orange juice concentrate, but be sure to dilute it with water according to the package directions.
  • Use a variety of nuts in your waffles. This will give them a more complex flavor and texture. Some good options include walnuts, pecans, almonds, and hazelnuts.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing will make the waffles tough.
  • Cook the waffles on a hot waffle iron. This will help them to cook evenly and get a crispy exterior.
  • Serve the waffles with your favorite toppings, such as butter, syrup, fruit, or whipped cream.

Conclusion:

Orange nut waffles are a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast or brunch dish. They're perfect for a special occasion or a lazy weekend morning. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can enjoy a stack of fluffy, flavorful waffles that are sure to please everyone at the table.
