ORANGE JULIUS WITH THE SECRET INGREDIENT!

Orange Julius With the Secret Ingredient! image

Well, I can't tell you HOW I got the "secret ingredient", but it's one of those things where you kind of say to yourself, "Now why didn't I think of that"? Coffee creamer! The powdered kind. That's it--simple I know! I grew up on these things--a must have at the mall--and trying to make them at home just wasn't quite right....try this. You may need to fiddle with the amounts some. When I make this recipe the blender is topped off - about 1/2 inch from the rim, but I don't really measure anything when I make it--i just throw stuff in until it tastes right.

Tips:

  • Use fresh oranges for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh oranges, you can use frozen or canned orange juice, but the flavor will not be as good.
  • If you don't have an ice cream maker, you can still make Orange Julius. Simply blend the ingredients together and then freeze them in an ice cube tray. Once the cubes are frozen, blend them again until they are smooth.
  • Orange Julius is a great way to use up leftover oranges. If you have a few oranges that are about to go bad, use them to make a batch of Orange Julius.
  • You can add other ingredients to your Orange Julius to make it even more delicious. Some popular additions include vanilla extract, almond extract, and orange zest.
  • Orange Julius is a refreshing and delicious treat that is perfect for any occasion. It's also a great way to get your daily dose of vitamin C.
