DREAMSICLE JELLO SALAD

This recipe has been a big hit at family gatherings and potlucks for years! It could also be used as a light dessert. I have also used French Vanilla pudding mix. It makes a large amount so make sure to use a very large mixing bowl.

Categories     Fruit Desserts

Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 box large box of orange jello
1 box large box of vanilla pudding
16 oz whipped topping
22 oz canned mandarin oranges, drained

Steps:

  • 1. Make jello per directions and allow to sit for 5 minutes.
  • 2. Stir in dry pudding.
  • 3. Mix in whipped topping.
  • 4. Fold in drained oranges.
  • 5. Chill in large bowl or individual serving dishes until ready to serve.

Tips:

  • Use fresh oranges for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh oranges, you can use orange juice, but the flavor will not be as strong.
  • Make sure the orange gelatin is completely dissolved before adding the other ingredients. Otherwise, you will have lumps of gelatin in your dessert.
  • Chill the dessert for at least 4 hours, or overnight, before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set properly.
  • Garnish the dessert with whipped cream, orange zest, or a sprinkle of cinnamon before serving.

Conclusion:

Orange Jello Dreamsicle Dessert is a light and refreshing dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The combination of orange and vanilla flavors is a classic that never goes out of style. This dessert is sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering.
