Tips:
- Use fresh oranges for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh oranges, you can use bottled orange juice, but it won't be as flavorful.
- Grate the orange zest finely. This will help release the flavor and aroma of the orange.
- Be careful not to overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough.
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This will help the dough firm up and make it easier to work with.
- Bake the cookies until they are just golden brown. If you overbake them, they will be dry and crumbly.
- Let the cookies cool completely before frosting them. This will help the frosting set properly.
Conclusion:
Orange Italian knot cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. They are perfect for parties, potlucks, or just a snack. With their bright orange color and sweet, tangy flavor, these cookies are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
