Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 lb boneless/skinless chicken thighs
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c orange juice
1/2 c soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp red chili flakes
1/2 c honey
1 Tbsp freshly crushed garlic
1/2 Tbsp corn starch

Steps:

  • 1. Cut up chicken into bite size pieces, I air fried, but you can pan fry.
  • 2. combine in a sauce pan the rest of ingredients and bring to a boil, then turn off.
  • 3. add chicken to sauce and simmer 15 minutes

Tips:

  • Choose the right chicken: For best results, use boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs. If using breasts, slice them into thin strips to ensure even cooking. If using thighs, trim excess fat before cooking.
  • Use fresh oranges: The zest and juice of fresh oranges add a bright, citrusy flavor to the dish. If you don't have fresh oranges, you can use bottled orange juice, but the flavor will be less intense.
  • Don't overcook the chicken: Orange honey garlic chicken is best when the chicken is cooked through but still juicy. Overcooked chicken will be dry and tough.
  • Serve with rice or noodles: Orange honey garlic chicken is a versatile dish that can be served with a variety of sides. Rice or noodles are popular choices, but you could also serve it with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a salad.

Conclusion:

Orange honey garlic chicken is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal or a special occasion. The combination of sweet, sour, and savory flavors is sure to please everyone at the table. With its simple ingredients and quick cooking time, orange honey garlic chicken is a recipe that you'll want to make again and again.
