Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg, room temperature
1 tablespoon grated orange zest
2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 cups vanilla or white chips

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in egg and orange zest. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in vanilla chips., Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake until golden brown, 10-12 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 box orange cake mix
1/2 c water
1/2 c vegetable oil
1 egg

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2. Mix all ingredients until well combined. This will be thick.
  • 3. When well mixed drop by teaspoon full on cookie sheet two inches apart.
  • 4. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until center comes clean with a toothpick.
  • 5. Drizzle with glaze. To make glaze you need: 1/2 stick butter, melted 2 cups powder sugar 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 3-4 Tablespoons evaporated milk Mix the butter, powder sugar and vanilla, add milk a little at a time until glaze consistancy. Pour into a zip lock baggie. Snip small hole in bottom corner of bag and drizzle over cooled cookies.
