Tips:
- To make the orange creamsicle salad more flavorful, use fresh oranges and tangy orange juice.
- If you don't have vanilla pudding mix, you can make your own by whisking together 1/4 cup cornstarch, 1/4 cup sugar, and a pinch of salt in a saucepan. Then, gradually whisk in 2 cups of milk and bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 1-2 minutes, or until the pudding has thickened. Remove from heat and stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- To make the whipped topping, combine 1 cup of heavy cream, 1/4 cup of powdered sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract in a medium bowl. Beat on high speed until stiff peaks form.
- For a fun and festive twist, garnish the orange creamsicle salad with orange slices, whipped topping, and a sprinkle of grated orange zest before serving.
