Steps:
- For the Bundt ice ring: Pour 1 inch of water into the bottom of a 12-cup Bundt pan. Add a quarter of the cranberries, 5 thyme sprigs and 2 bay leaves and evenly spread the ingredients around the Bundt pan--this will be the top of the ice cube. Place in the freezer to set for at least 4 hours.
- For the next layer, add enough water to fill halfway up the Bundt pan, then add the same quantity of ingredients as the first layer. Place in freezer for at least 4 more hours. Continue to make 2 more layers and freeze in the same manner, freezing each layer at least 4 hours before adding on the next. The final layer should freeze 8 hours or up to overnight before being used.
- Turn the Bundt pan onto a baking sheet and hold under running hot water until the Bundt ice ring releases onto the baking sheet, 5 to 10 seconds. Add to a punch bowl when ready to serve.
- For the spiced-thyme simple syrup: Combine the sugar with 2 cups water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from the heat and add the allspice, cloves, thyme and cinnamon sticks. Let steep while it comes to room temperature, 1 hour. Strain and refrigerate until ready to use.
- For the punch: Stir together the cranberry juice, vodka and 2 cups spiced-thyme simple syrup (save the remainder for another use). Pour over the Bundt ice ring in the punch bowl and top with prosecco and cranberries for garnish. Serve immediately.

SPARKLING CRANBERRY ORANGE PUNCH
This wonderful and refreshing punch was inspired by my love of cranberry salad. It is quick and easy to make and can be frozen till ready to use, just slightly thaw and pour in the soda. - 1. Combine cranberry juice, pineapple juice, orange juice and dry cool-aid mix. Add sugar to taste, mix well or till sugar melts. Chill until ready to serve, pour into punch bowl over ice ring and add one of the bottles of ginger ale.Refresh with chilled ginger ale as needed.
- 2. This recipe, minus the soda, may be frozen until ready to serve. This punch is best when ice cold and slightly slushy.
- 3. A simple but elegant ice ring can be made by adding a single layer of oranges in a bundt pan or angel food pan.* OR * You can continue adding to it : Pour about an inch of ice cold water over the oranges. Freeze till firm. Then add a layer of cranberries and mint leaves to form bunches, around the ring. Add about a 1/2 inch layer of ice cold water and freeze till firm, repeat two more layers. (use ice cold water so the finished ring is clear and not cloudy )
- 4. TIP ****Use ice cold water so the finished ring is clear and not cloudy .******
Tips:
- Choose ripe oranges and cranberries. This will ensure the best flavor for your punch.
- Use fresh orange juice. Bottled or store-bought orange juice can be used, but fresh orange juice will give your punch a more vibrant flavor.
- Don't be afraid to experiment with different fruits. You can add other fruits to your punch, such as pineapple, grapefruit, or strawberries.
- Make your punch ahead of time. This will allow the flavors to meld and develop. You can make the punch up to 24 hours in advance.
- Serve your punch chilled. This will make it even more refreshing.
Conclusion:
Orange cranberry punch is a delicious and refreshing drink that is perfect for any occasion. It's easy to make and can be customized to your liking. So next time you're looking for a party-perfect punch, give this recipe a try!
