ORANGE CHOCOLATE CHIP SCONES
This recipe is based on a recipe I slightly altered. It called for poppy seeds instead of the chocolate chips. I had already began making the recipe when I discovered my stash of poppy seeds had gone bad. So in an attempt to continue making the original recipe I subbed in mini-chocolate chips. I also used regular milk instead of cream and added baking powder to the list of ingredients. This recipe came out pretty darn good. It was even better the next morning.

Tips:
- Mise en place: Before you start baking, measure and prepare all of your ingredients. This will help you stay organized and ensure that you don't forget anything.
- Use cold butter: Cold butter is easier to work with and will result in a more flaky scone. If you don't have time to chill your butter, you can freeze it for 15 minutes before using.
- Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough will make the scones tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough will help the scones to rise more evenly. You can chill the dough for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
- Bake the scones in a hot oven: A hot oven will help the scones to rise quickly and evenly. Preheat your oven to the temperature specified in the recipe before baking.
- Don't overbake the scones: Overbaking the scones will make them dry and crumbly. Bake the scones just until they are golden brown on top.
Conclusion:
Orange and white chocolate scones are a delicious and easy-to-make treat. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can enjoy these scones for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. They are also a great gift for friends and family. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give these orange and white chocolate scones a try. You won't be disappointed!
