Tips:

  • Use a well-seasoned cast iron skillet. This will help the pork chops sear evenly and prevent them from sticking.
  • Make sure the pork chops are at room temperature before cooking. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Sear the pork chops over high heat for 2-3 minutes per side. This will create a nice crust and help lock in the juices.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook the pork chops for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until they are cooked through.
  • Use an instant-read thermometer to check the internal temperature of the pork chops. They are done when they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving. This will help the juices redistribute and make the meat more tender.
