Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all of your ingredients prepped and measured. This will help you stay organized and make the cooking process go more smoothly.
  • Choose the Right Pan: Use a large, oven-safe skillet or baking dish that is big enough to accommodate all of the ingredients without overcrowding. A 12-inch skillet or a 9x13-inch baking dish is a good option.
  • Don't Crowd the Pan: When searing the chicken, make sure to give it enough space in the pan so that it can brown evenly. If you crowd the pan, the chicken will steam and not brown properly.
  • Use a Meat Thermometer: To ensure that the chicken is cooked through, use a meat thermometer to check that it has reached an internal temperature of 165°F.
  • Let the Chicken Rest: After cooking the chicken, let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This will help the juices redistribute throughout the chicken, making it more tender and flavorful.
