Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 fresh avocados
1 lime wedge
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp tomato, diced
1 1/2 Tbsp fresh jalapeno pepper, diced
1 Tbsp red onion, diced fine
1 tsp cilantro, chopped

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all ingredients together and stir well. Chill. Makes 8 servings.

Tips:

  • For the best guacamole, use ripe avocados. Look for avocados that are dark green or black in color and slightly soft to the touch.
  • To easily remove the avocado flesh from the skin, cut the avocado in half lengthwise and twist the two halves apart. Scoop out the flesh with a spoon.
  • If you don't have a molcajete, you can use a large mortar and pestle or a food processor to make the guacamole. Just be sure not to over-process the guacamole, or it will become too smooth.
  • Taste the guacamole as you make it and adjust the seasonings to your liking. You may want to add more lime juice, salt, or cilantro.
  • Serve the guacamole immediately with tortilla chips, tacos, or burritos.
