Time 8h50m

Yield serves 4-6

Number Of Ingredients 9

For the Chicken
2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
3 pounds chicken wings, cut into drumettes and flats
For the Sauce
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup Frank's Red Hot sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • For the chicken: Mix together Old Bay, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl. Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels. Place wings in a large bowl and sprinkle with Old Bay mixture, tossing to coat evenly. Arrange wings in a single layer on wire rack placed over a baking sheet. Refrigerate uncovered for at least 8 hours.
  • To make the sauce: Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in hot sauce and Worcestershire. Remove from heat and seat aside.
  • Light one chimney full of charcoal. When all the charcoal is lit and covered with gray ash, pour out and arrange the coals on one side of the charcoal grate. Set cooking grate in place, cover grill and allow to preheat for 5 minutes. Clean and oil the grilling grate. Place the wings skin side up over the cool side of the grill, cover, and cook until skins are crisp and are starting to brown, 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Transfer wings to a large bowl. Add in sauce and toss to thoroughly coat. Transfer to a serving tray and serve immediately.

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 4

2 pounds party chicken wings
2 tablespoons seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®), divided
¼ cup cornstarch
4 tablespoons butter

Tips:

  • Use a flavorful marinade: The marinade is what will give your grilled chicken wings their amazing flavor, so don't skimp on the ingredients. Be sure to use a good quality olive oil, fresh herbs and spices, and a bit of citrus juice to brighten things up.
  • Let your chicken wings marinate for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 24 hours: This will give the flavors time to penetrate the chicken and make them extra delicious.
  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat before cooking the chicken wings: This will help to create a nice sear on the outside of the wings while cooking them through evenly.
  • Cook the chicken wings for about 10-12 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through and slightly charred: Be sure to flip the wings halfway through cooking so that they cook evenly on both sides.
  • Serve the chicken wings hot off the grill with your favorite dipping sauce: Ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, or barbecue sauce are all great options.

Conclusion:

These Old Bay grilled chicken wings are the perfect appetizer or main course for any occasion. They are easy to make, incredibly flavorful, and sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them. So next time you're firing up the grill, give this recipe a try - you won't be disappointed!
