OH-SO-YUMMY CHICKEN BREASTS

The first recipe for this chicken by food.com member TEXAS called for a cut up fryer but I'm on a diet so I used boneless skinless breasts. I'm putting it here so I can get the nutritional facts. This sauce is great and the sweetness from the sugar goes all thru the chicken.

Time 2h5m

Yield 3-4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 fryer, cut up
1 cup catsup
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup crushed pineapple
1 green pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped

Steps:

  • Arrange chicken in a baking dish. Combine other ingredients; pour over chicken. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Sauce should have thickened by then, if not, remove chicken and cook sauce for a few minutes on the stove.

Tips:

  • Choose the right chicken: For this recipe, bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs are best. They stay moist and flavorful during cooking.
  • Use a flavorful marinade: The marinade helps to infuse the chicken with flavor. Be sure to use a marinade with a good balance of sweet, sour, and savory flavors.
  • Cook the chicken over medium heat: This will help to prevent the chicken from drying out. If you cook it over high heat, the outside will burn before the inside is cooked through.
  • Baste the chicken frequently: This will help to keep the chicken moist and flavorful. You can use a brush or a spoon to baste the chicken with the marinade or melted butter.
  • Cook the chicken until it is cooked through: The chicken is cooked through when it reaches an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit. You can use a meat thermometer to check the temperature of the chicken.

Conclusion:

This Oh-So-Yummy Chicken recipe is a delicious and easy-to-make recipe that is perfect for any occasion. The chicken is marinated in a flavorful mixture of spices and herbs, then cooked to perfection. The result is a crispy, juicy, and flavorful chicken that is sure to please everyone at your table.
