2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup/55 grams light brown sugar
1/4 cup/30 grams all-purpose flour
Pinch of ground cinnamon
3 tablespoons cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/4-inch cubes
1/3 cup/45 grams coarsely chopped almonds
2 1/2 cups/320 grams all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1-1/2 cups boiling water
1 tablespoon butter
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup old-fashioned oats
2 packages (1/4 ounce each) active dry yeast
3/4 cup warm water (110° to 115°)
1/4 cup molasses
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
6 to 6-1/2 cups all-purpose flour, divided

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the boiling water, butter, salt and sugar. Stir in oats; cool to lukewarm. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Stir in the molasses, brown sugar and 1 cup flour. Beat until smooth. ½ cup molasses
⅓ cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 ½ cups boiling water
2 tablespoons active dry yeast
½ cup lukewarm water (100 degrees F/38 degrees C)
1 cup whole wheat flour
5 cups bread flour
2 eggs
