1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1-1/4 cups quick-cooking oats
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, cream peanut butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg. Add oats and baking soda to creamed mixture; mix well., Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets; flatten slightly. Bake at 350° for 6-8 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool. ½ cup shortening
½ cup margarine, softened
1 cup packed brown sugar
¾ cup white sugar
1 cup peanut butter
2 eggs
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup quick-cooking oats

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
