  • 2- In a mixing bowl, combine yeast, sugar, oil, egg, salt, oat mixture and 2 cups white whole wheat flour. Beat until smooth.
  • 3- Add remaining flour to form a soft dough. Knead until smooth and elastic ( about 8 minutes ).

  • 7- Brush with the melted butter, sprinkle with kosher salt, pamesan cheese, herbs and garlic powder, if desired.
  • 8- Bake at 350º F for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.

Tips:

  • Choose the Right Oats: For a heartier texture, use rolled oats; for a finer crumb, use quick oats.
  • Don't Overmix: Overmixing can result in a tough, dense bread. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Let the Bread Rest: Allow the bread to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. This helps it set and develop its full flavor.
  • Store Properly: Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
  • Get Creative: Feel free to add your favorite mix-ins, such as nuts, seeds, dried fruit, or spices, to customize the flavor of the bread.
