  • Toast the oats: This will enhance their flavor and make them more fragrant.
  • Use brown sugar and white sugar: This combination will give your cookies a richer flavor and a chewy texture.
  • Cream the butter and sugars together until light and fluffy: This will help to incorporate air into the dough, which will make your cookies light and airy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition: This will help to prevent the dough from curdling.
  • Stir in the dry ingredients gradually: This will help to prevent the dough from becoming tough.
  • Fold in the oats and raisins: Be careful not to overmix the dough, as this will make your cookies tough.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes: This will help to firm up the dough and make it easier to handle.
  • Bake the cookies at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set: Be careful not to overbake the cookies, as this will make them dry and crumbly.
