Tips:
- Use old-fashioned oats. Old-fashioned oats have a chewier texture than quick or instant oats, which makes them ideal for these bars.
- Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing the batter will make the bars tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Bake the bars until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached. If the toothpick comes out clean, the bars are overbaked.
- Let the bars cool completely before cutting them. This will help them hold their shape.
- Store the bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the bars for up to 2 months.
Conclusion:
These oatmeal brownie bars are a delicious and healthy snack or dessert. They're easy to make and can be tailored to your own preferences. Whether you like them chewy or fudgy, with nuts or chocolate chips, these bars are sure to be a hit.
