A very easy recipe. If you have left over rice and you are in a hurry this is the recipe to make. The rice needs to be cold in order to fry right. You can use less rice if you like or more hot pepper flakes if you like it really hot.

PORK FRIED RICE

Pork Fried Rice image

This is my revised version of another pork fried rice recipe. I often substitute chicken for pork, and it doesn't change anything. I have used both basmati rice and long-grain rice which gives the dish only a slight flavor difference. I have also added celery in the past with good outcomes. Enjoy.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of pork: Pork shoulder or pork tenderloin are both good choices for stir-fry pork. Pork shoulder is a tougher cut of meat, but it has more flavor. Pork tenderloin is a leaner, more tender cut of meat.
  • Slice the pork thinly: This will help it cook evenly and quickly.
  • Marinate the pork: Marinating the pork in a mixture of soy sauce, rice wine, and garlic powder will help it to tenderize and flavor it.
  • Use a well-seasoned wok or large skillet: A well-seasoned wok or large skillet will help to prevent the pork from sticking.
  • Cook the pork over high heat: This will help to sear the meat and lock in the flavor.
  • Stir-fry the pork in small batches: This will help to prevent the meat from overcrowding the pan and steaming instead of frying.
  • Add the vegetables at the end of the cooking process: This will help to prevent them from overcooking.
  • Serve the stir-fry pork over rice: This is a classic Chinese dish that is both delicious and easy to make.
  • Garnish the stir-fry pork with green onions or cilantro: This will add a fresh, bright flavor to the dish.

Conclusion:

Stir-fry pork over rice is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can have a flavorful and satisfying meal on the table in no time. So next time you're in a hurry, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed.
