I love this shortbread! It's a recipe that my mom has had for a long time. We make it a lot at Christmastime. These are made in the food processor.

Tips:
- Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. A good semisweet or dark chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 50% is ideal.
- Be sure to chill the dough before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
- Bake the cookies until the edges are just beginning to brown. Overbaking will make them dry and crumbly.
- Let the cookies cool completely before frosting them. This will help the frosting set properly.
- If you don't have a piping bag, you can use a plastic sandwich bag with the corner snipped off to drizzle the frosting over the cookies.
Conclusion:
These nutty chocolate shortbread cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. With their rich chocolate flavor, nutty texture, and creamy frosting, they're sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat to bake, give these cookies a try. You won't be disappointed!
