Time 45m

Yield 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

2/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 egg whites, lightly beaten
1/4 cup cocoa powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Spray a square non-stick baking pan (8 inch x 8 inch) with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Combine the ingredients in a large mixing bowl, blend well. Pour batter into pan and bake 20-30 minutes until cooked. To test if batter is cooked, insert a toothpick. If it comes out clean, brownie is cooked.
  • Remove from oven and let cool for five minutes in pan.
  • Gently remove from pan; place on wire rack and when cool, sprinkle with icing sugar if desired. Cut into eight squares. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Use ripe bananas. This will give your brownies a sweeter flavor and a more moist texture.
  • Mash the bananas thoroughly. This will help them blend into the batter more easily and prevent them from becoming chunky.
  • Use unsweetened cocoa powder. This will give your brownies a rich chocolate flavor without adding any sugar or fat.
  • Add a little bit of baking powder. This will help your brownies rise and become fluffy.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make your brownies tough.
  • Bake the brownies at a moderate temperature. This will help them bake evenly and prevent them from becoming too dry.
  • Let the brownies cool completely before cutting them. This will help them hold their shape and prevent them from crumbling.
  • Conclusion:

These no-sugar, no-fat, no-cholesterol brownies are a delicious and healthy treat that you can enjoy without guilt. They're perfect for a quick snack or a dessert after a meal. So next time you're craving something sweet, give these brownies a try. You won't be disappointed!
