DARK CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies image

These are the ultimate chocolate cookies. Yes, it's a bold claim, but with dark chocolate mixed in at three different steps-we'll stand behind it. First, bittersweet chocolate chips (60 percent cacao-the real plant from which chocolate is made) get melted into the butter. Then a flour mixture featuring Hershey's™ Special Dark™ cocoa powder-100 percent cacao-gets added. Finally, another 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips get stirred into the dough before baking, so every bite you take is bursting with melt-in-your-mouth bittersweet bursts. To keep all that deep, rich flavor balanced, cookies get rolled in granulated sugar before baking for a little extra sweetness and sparkle! Serve cookies with a tall glass of cold milk, and if that's not enough to satisfy your chocolate craving, nothing will be!

1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces
2 1/2 cups 60% cacao bittersweet dark chocolate chips (from two 10-oz bags)
1 1/2 cups sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

NO BAKE COOKIES MADE WITH CHOCOLATE CHIPS

No Bake Cookies Made With Chocolate Chips image

I got this recipe from a high school friend. These take only 10 minutes to make and have saved me countless times when hungry boys unexpectedly descend on my house.

Provided by Cookie Cooker

Categories     Drop Cookies

Time 11m

Yield 36 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup chocolate chips
peanut butter (optional)
1 1/2 cups oatmeal
1 teaspoon vanilla

Steps:

  • Put oatmeal, optional peanut butter, chocolate chips and vanilla in a mixing bowl.
  • Combine butter, milk and sugar in a saucepan and heat over medium high until boiling. Let boil for 1 minute.
  • Pour hot mix into the oatmeal mix and stir well. Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper and let harden before eating. Freeze to harden faster.

Tips:

  • Use a food processor to grind the oats into a fine flour. This will help the bars hold together better.
  • Be sure to measure the peanut butter correctly. Too much peanut butter will make the bars too soft, while too little will make them too dry.
  • If you don't have a baking sheet, you can use a 9x13 inch glass baking dish instead.
  • Be careful not to overcook the bars. They should be set around the edges, but still soft and chewy in the center.
  • Let the bars cool completely before cutting them into squares. This will help them hold their shape.

Conclusion:

These No-Bake Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. They are made with simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand, and they can be ready in just a few minutes. So next time you are craving a sweet snack, give these bars a try. You won't be disappointed!
