Tips:

  • Use a variety of cereals. This will give your bars a more complex flavor and texture. Some good options include oats, granola, puffed rice, and shredded wheat.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different mix-ins. Nuts, seeds, dried fruits, and chocolate chips are all great additions to cereal bars. You can also add spices like cinnamon or nutmeg for a warm, autumnal flavor.
  • Make sure your cereal bars are well-packed. This will help them stay together when you cut them. Use a spatula or the back of a spoon to press the mixture firmly into the pan.
  • Let your cereal bars cool completely before cutting them. This will prevent them from crumbling.
  • Store your cereal bars in an airtight container at room temperature. They will keep for up to two weeks.
