Tips:

  • Choose the right apples: Firm, tart apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp hold their shape well and provide a nice contrast to the sweet cheesecake filling.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing can make the cheesecake tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the cheesecake in a water bath: This helps to prevent the cheesecake from cracking.
  • Let the cheesecake cool completely before serving: This will help it to set properly.
  • Use fresh lemon juice: Fresh lemon juice gives the cheesecake a bright, tangy flavor.
  • Don't overbake the cheesecake: An overbaked cheesecake will be dry and crumbly. Bake it just until the center is set.
  • Chill the cheesecake for at least 4 hours before serving: This will allow the flavors to develop and the cheesecake to firm up.
  • Garnish the cheesecake with fresh fruit or whipped cream: This will add a pop of color and flavor.
