3 c all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
3 c sugar
1 stick butter salted
1 stick butter flavor shortening (crisco)
5 eggs
1 c milk
1 tsp vanilla extract

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  • 2. Mix sugar, butter, and butter flavor Crisco. Mix till lite and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Mix well after each egg is added.
  • 3. Sift together flour and baking powder. Add Flour and milk alternating. Add vanilla.

1 cup butter, softened
1 3/4 cups sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 tablespoons brandy or 2 tablespoons Bourbon
4 eggs
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup candied cherry, diced
1/2 cup candied pineapple, diced
3 tablespoons sugar

  • Cream the cream cheese and the butter together until light and fluffy.
