NANA'S SOUTHERN POUND CAKE
This is my mother's famous pound cake recipe. I have posted it so that my brother and sisters can access it at any time. She used to make this for all the church and school bazaars and it was the first to go. I made it for my school bazaar and got many requests for the recipe. My mother is a southern cook from those bygone years where everyone knew by heart the recipe for a good pound cake. This is hers.

Tips:
- Use ripe pineapple: The riper the pineapple, the sweeter and more flavorful your cake will be.
- Drain the pineapple well: Be sure to drain the pineapple thoroughly before adding it to the batter. This will prevent the cake from being too wet.
- Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy: This will help to incorporate air into the batter, resulting in a lighter, more tender cake.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition: This will help to prevent the batter from curdling.
- Sift the flour before measuring: This will help to ensure that the flour is evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Do not overmix the batter: Overmixing can result in a tough, dense cake.
- Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean: This will ensure that the cake is cooked through.
- Let the cake cool completely before frosting: This will help to prevent the frosting from melting.
Conclusion:
Nanas pound cake is a delicious and easy-to-make cake that is perfect for any occasion. With its moist, tender crumb and sweet, tangy pineapple flavor, this cake is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a special dessert, give nanas pound cake a try. You won't be disappointed!
