Pork chops slow cooked in a yummy creamy sauce, served over rice.

ΒΌ cup brown sugar
6 pork chops
1 (5 ounce) bottle soy sauce
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

Steps:

  • Rub brown sugar into pork chops. Place chops in shallow dish and pour soy sauce over. Cover and refrigerate. Allow to marinate for one hour.
  • Pour the cream of mushroom soup into the crock of a slow cooker. Remove chops from the soy sauce and place on top of soup.
  • Cover, and cook on Low until very tender, 6 to 8 hours.

1 gallon soy sauce
1 lb dried shiitake mushroom (dehydrated )

Steps:

  • In a large pot bring the soy sauce just to the boiling point. Do not boil or reduce.
  • Add the pound of dehydrated shiitakes and let sit until the soy sauce has come down to room temperature.
  • Strain the soy sauce through folded cheese cloth.
  • Squeeze out as much soy sauce from the mushrooms as possible; using the cheese cloth makes this much easier.
