Categories     Candy

Time 10m

Yield 2 dozen

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 cup chow mein noodles
1 bag butterscotch chips
1 bag chocolate chips
1 cup peanuts (blanched)

Steps:

  • Mix chips together in a microwavable safe bowl, melt.
  • Mix in noodles and peanuts.
  • Drop onto wax paper by the teaspoonful and cool.
  • DO NOT FREEZE!
  • I sometimes put in mini M&M's instead of the peanuts.

Tips:

  • Chill the dough: Chilling the dough before baking helps the cookies to hold their shape and prevents them from spreading too much.
  • Use room temperature ingredients: Room temperature ingredients help the cookies to mix together more easily and evenly.
  • Measure your ingredients accurately: Accurately measuring your ingredients is important for the success of any recipe, but it is especially important for baking.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough can make the cookies tough. Mix the dough just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the cookies until they are golden brown: The cookies should be golden brown around the edges and slightly soft in the center. Overbaking the cookies will make them dry and crumbly.

Conclusion:

These Mum's Chow Mein Cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. With their chewy texture and sweet and salty flavor, these cookies are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them. So next time you're looking for a tasty snack or dessert, give these Mum's Chow Mein Cookies a try, you won't be disappointed!
