Categories     Cookies     Chocolate     Dessert     No-Cook     Christmas     Kid-Friendly

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1/2 cup milk
3 cups oatmeal
5 tbls of Hershys Cocco
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/2 tsp vanilla

Steps:

  • boil sugar, shortening, milk for 1 minute in a big bowl.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the cookies will taste. Use real butter, not margarine, and use good-quality chocolate chips.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough will make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough will help the cookies hold their shape and will also make them chewier.
  • Bake the cookies at the right temperature: The cookies should be baked at 375°F (190°C). If the oven is too hot, the cookies will brown too quickly and the inside will be undercooked.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before storing: The cookies will continue to firm up as they cool. If you store them before they are completely cool, they will be more likely to break.

Conclusion:

Mountain cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for a quick snack or a dessert.
