I think the best berries in the world are grown in the Ozarks. We own a small berry farm, and this is one of my favorite recipes. It's delicious served warm. -Elaine Moody, Clever, Missouri

MOUNTAIN BERRY PIE
I always have a supply of frozen berries and love to make this pie. Thaw just enough to separate- could use fresh if available. Feel free to use more or less of a certain berry, as long as the total amount is around 4 cups.

Tips:
- Use fresh or frozen berries: Fresh berries are ideal, but frozen berries can also be used. If using frozen berries, thaw them before using and drain off any excess liquid.
- Choose a variety of berries: This will give your pie a more complex flavor. Some good choices include blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and strawberries.
- Don't overcook the berries: Overcooked berries will lose their flavor and texture. Cook them just until they are tender.
- Use a good quality pie crust: A homemade pie crust is always best, but a store-bought pie crust can also be used. If using a store-bought pie crust, be sure to pre-bake it according to the package directions.
- Let the pie cool before serving: This will allow the filling to set and the pie to hold its shape.
Conclusion:
Mountain berry pie is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its flaky crust and sweet and tangy filling, this pie is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a special dessert to make, give this mountain berry pie a try. You won't be disappointed!
