MOROCCAN PEACHES

Moroccan Peaches image

Sifting through my recipe box files for Zaar World Tour 2005, I was surprised to discover that I've saved three different recipe articles on Moroccan Cuisine over the years. All from my old favourite; the Sainsbury's magazine. This one has been lurking un-tested since July 2001. Time to give it an airing! Cooking time is resting time.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe, firm peaches: To ensure the best flavor and texture, select peaches that are fully ripe, with no blemishes or bruises. Look for peaches that have a slightly soft give when you gently press them.
  • Use a variety of spices: Moroccan cuisine is known for its fragrant and flavorful spices, and this recipe is no exception. Use a combination of spices like cinnamon, ginger, cumin, and paprika to add depth and complexity to the dish.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When cooking the peaches, make sure to not overcrowd the pan. This will prevent them from cooking evenly and will result in a mushy texture.
  • Serve warm or cold: Moroccan peaches can be served warm or cold. If you're serving them warm, let them cool slightly before slicing and serving. If you're serving them cold, chill them in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Conclusion:

Moroccan peaches are a delicious and refreshing treat that can be enjoyed on their own or as part of a larger meal. Whether you serve them warm or cold, they're sure to be a hit with your family and friends. So next time you're looking for a unique and flavorful dessert, give this recipe a try!
