GRANDMA'S CRANBERRY-ORANGE GELATIN SALAD
My grandmother made this salad every Thanksgiving. It is delicious even without its creamy topping. This side dish is so yummy, I sometimes make it even when it's not Thanksgiving! Depending on your salad's shape, you can spread the topping in a layer over the Jell-O; or if you use a ring mold, put the topping in the center. Alternately, you could serve the topping in a bowl on the side, so it's optional.

Tips:
- Use fresh cranberries. Fresh cranberries have a brighter flavor and more vibrant color than frozen or canned cranberries.
- Don't overcook the cranberries. Cranberries should be cooked until they just begin to burst. If you overcook them, they will become mushy.
- Use a good quality gelatin. The quality of the gelatin will affect the final texture of the salad. Use a brand that is known for its high quality.
- Chill the salad thoroughly before serving. This will help the gelatin to set properly.
- Garnish the salad with fresh mint or parsley. This will add a fresh, festive touch to the dish.
Conclusion:
Moore's Cranberry Gelatin Salad is a classic holiday dish that is always a hit. It is easy to make and can be made ahead of time. This salad is a great way to use up leftover cranberries and is a delicious and festive addition to any holiday table.
