1 teaspoon baking soda

1 pound dates, pitted and chopped
1 pound orange slice candies, chopped

1 1/3 cups shredded coconut
1 cup orange juice
2 cups powdered sugar

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 10-inch tube pan with butter and dust with flour.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and sugar. Beat at medium speed until light and fluffy, about 4-8 minutes. Add the eggs, 1 at a time, beating after every addition.

4 eggs
1/2 cup buttermilk
1 pound candy orange slices

1-1/2 cups candied cherries

3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour, divided
1 teaspoon baking soda
