MARSHMALLOW DATE NUT ROLL

Marshmallow Date Nut Roll image

A frozen dessert rich nutty and filled with dates and marachino cherries. My bestfriend and I would whip this up for our boyfriends some 30 years ago. The Whipped cream at serving time is a nice festive touch, but the boys just would slice off a piece and gobble it down with a glass of milk.

  • Use Fresh Ingredients: Fresh ingredients will give your date nut roll the best flavor. If possible, use organic dates and nuts.
  • Don't Overmix the Dough: Overmixing the dough will make it tough. Mix it just until the ingredients are well combined.
  • Chill the Dough: Chilling the dough before baking will help it hold its shape. This will also make it easier to roll out.
  • Bake the Roll Until Golden Brown: The roll is done baking when it is golden brown. Insert a toothpick into the center of the roll. If it comes out clean, the roll is done.
