1 1/4 c flour, sifted
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 c confectionary sugar
1/2 c margarine
1 Tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 c dates, chopped
1/2 c nuts, chopped

Steps:

  • 1. Sift the flour twice. Add salt. Cream the butter and gradually add sugar. Add milk and vanilla. Sift in flour. Blend in dates and nuts. Roll into 1 inch balls.

  • Roll the date balls in a coating of your choice. This could be coconut flakes, chopped nuts, or even cocoa powder. This will give them a more finished look and make them less sticky.
