BUTTERSCOTCH CLUSTERS
This is my Grandmother's recipe. She always made big batches of these to bring to the Poconos when we were vacationing. I have seen other recipes for this but they always have other additions such as nuts, raisins and pretzels etc., she never made them any other way than this; plain and simple. Cooking time includes chill time.

Steps:
- 1. Melt chips and peanut butter in a saucepan. Remove from heat. Add cornflakes and peanuts. Drop on wax paper and refrigerate.
- 2. Note: You can substitute the nuts and cornflakes with 3 ounces of chow mein noodles and 1 cup marshmallows. This is the way I prepare it.
Tips:
- Prepare the ingredients: Before starting, ensure you have all the ingredients measured and ready. This will help the cooking process go more smoothly.
- Use a heavy-bottomed saucepan: This will help distribute the heat evenly and prevent scorching.
- Stir constantly: When making the butterscotch mixture, stir continuously to prevent it from burning.
- Use a candy thermometer: This will help you accurately measure the temperature of the butterscotch mixture and ensure it reaches the correct stage.
- Work quickly: Once the butterscotch mixture is ready, work quickly to form the clusters before it cools and hardens.
- Be careful not to overcook the butterscotch: Overcooking can cause the butterscotch to become too hard and brittle.
- Let the clusters cool completely: Before storing or enjoying, allow the butterscotch clusters to cool completely.
Conclusion:
