GRAMMY'S SHRIMP DIP MOLD
I used to make this in a mold but lately I have just been serving it in a decorative bowl since it goes like lightening. I have learned from experience, when you make and bring this dip somewhere, bring several copies of the recipe with you...it's that good. Enjoy ! **** This dip must be made the day before. It needs time to...

Steps:
- 1. Dissolve gelatin in the warm water. Set aside for a few minutes while you mix other ingredients.
- 2. Mix tomato soup and cream cheese with electric mixer. Add onion and celery and shrimp. Now mix in gelatin & water mixture that has now become thickened. Last, add in the mayonnaise. Refrig. over night. Serve with crackers. I use Ritz ! Enjoy !
- 3. If you are going to put this dip into a mold ( I used to use a mold in the shape of a fish ) then spray the inside of your mold with non-stick cooking spray and pour your dip into it and then refrig. overnight. I would dip the bottom of my mold into a sink filled with two inches of hot water and then unmold my dip. I'd place lettuce around the place before I unmolded the dip to decorate it up a little. With a couple of slices of lemon as added decoration.

Steps:
- Finely chop the shrimp; place in a bowl.
- Stir in the next six ingredients until well blended.
- Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
- Serve with crackers.
Tips:
- Choosing Fresh Shrimp: Always opt for fresh shrimp with a vibrant, translucent appearance. Avoid those with a grayish tint or an unpleasant odor.
- Preparing the Shrimp: To ensure a smooth and consistent texture, remove the shells and devein the shrimp before chopping them finely. This will make the spread easier to blend and mold.
- Cream Cheese: Use high-quality cream cheese that is softened to room temperature. This will allow it to blend smoothly with the other ingredients, creating a creamy and cohesive spread.
- Adding Flavor: Experiment with various seasonings and herbs to enhance the flavor of the spread. Options like lemon juice, dill, or a dash of cayenne pepper can add a refreshing tang or a subtle kick.
- Chilling Time: Allow the molded shrimp spread to chill for at least 30 minutes before serving. This helps the flavors meld together and gives the spread a firmer texture, making it easier to slice and serve.
Conclusion:
Molded shrimp spread is a versatile and delicious dish that can elevate any gathering. Its creamy texture, delicate shrimp flavor, and customizable seasonings make it a crowd-pleaser. Whether you serve it as an appetizer with crackers or as a sandwich filling, this spread is sure to impress. With careful attention to ingredient quality, proper preparation techniques, and a touch of creativity, you can create a truly exceptional molded shrimp spread that will leave your guests asking for more. .
