CORNED BEEF AND SWISS DIP

Corned Beef and Swiss Dip image

Warm and delicious corned beef dip. Serve with crackers or toast the hunks of bread taken from the center of the Italian loaf. You can also bypass the bread altogether and bake in a 9x13 covered pan. I have also cooked this in a slow cooker on Low for 3 hours.

CORNED BEEF MOLD

Corned Beef Mold image

My entire family loves this! It is great for the holidays or any time. I serve this with a different variety of crackers.

Categories     Meat Appetizers

Time 1h

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 can(s) corned beef
1 box lemon jello
1 1/2 c mayonnaise
3 Tbsp horseradish (jar kind)
1 c chopped green bell pepper
1 c chopped onion
4 Tbsp white vinigar
1 c hot water

Steps:

  • 1. Break up the corned beef in bowl and add the chopped onions and bell peppers. Add the vinegar and horseradish stir well. Mix the jello with one cup of hot water till dissolved. Add this to the beef, pepper, onion bowl. Add the mayonnaise stir well. I put this in a mold but can be made in just a bowl. Let chill at least an hour. Enjoy with crackers.

Tips:

  • When selecting corned beef, look for a piece that is well-marbled and has a good amount of fat. This will ensure a flavorful and moist spread.
  • Be sure to rinse the corned beef thoroughly before cooking to remove any excess salt.
  • If you are using a slow cooker, cook the corned beef on low for 8-10 hours or until it is fall-apart tender.
  • If you are cooking the corned beef in a pot on the stovetop, bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 3-4 hours or until tender.
  • Once the corned beef is cooked, remove it from the cooking liquid and let it cool slightly.
  • Shred or chop the corned beef into small pieces.
  • In a large bowl, combine the corned beef with the remaining ingredients and mix until well combined.
  • Spread the mixture into a loaf pan or mold and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  • Serve the molded corned beef spread with crackers, bread, or vegetables.

Conclusion:

Molded corned beef spread is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack. It is perfect for parties, potlucks, or any other gathering. With its flavorful and creamy texture, this spread is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you have leftover corned beef, be sure to give this recipe a try.
