Tips:

  • Choose the right onions: Use medium to large yellow onions for this recipe. They should be firm and have no soft spots.
  • Slice the onions evenly: This will help them cook evenly. Use a sharp knife to cut the onions into 1/2-inch thick slices.
  • Toss the onions in the molasses mixture: Make sure the onions are evenly coated in the molasses mixture. This will help them caramelize and develop a delicious flavor.
  • Bake the onions at a low temperature: This will help them cook slowly and develop a tender texture.
  • Serve the onions immediately: Baked onions are best served hot out of the oven. They can be served as a side dish or as a main course.

Conclusion:

Molasses baked onions are a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed in many different ways. They are easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. Next time you are looking for a new way to cook onions, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
