1 cup white sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
2 cups fresh cranberries, at room temperature
½ cup chopped walnuts
½ cup butter, melted
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon almond extract
¼ cup chopped walnuts
¼ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.

2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons butter, melted
2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries, halved
HOT BUTTER SAUCE:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup half-and-half cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Combine milk and butter; add to dry ingredients and mix well. Fold in cranberries. Spread into a greased 9-in. square baking pan. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until cake tests done. , For sauce, melt butter in a saucepan; gradually add sugar and cream. Simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat; add vanilla. 1/2 cup margarine, softened
2/3 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 cup skim milk
2 large egg whites
cooking spray
1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons oats
1 tablespoon brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon ground allspice

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cream margarine and gradually add 2/3 cup granulated sugar, beating well at medium speed. Add egg and vanilla extract; beat well. Combine flour and baking powder; stir well. Add flour mixture to cream mixture alternately with milk; beginning and ending with flour mixture; beat well after each addition.
  • Beat egg whites at high speed until stiff peaks form (do not over beat).
  • Gently fold egg whites into batter. Spoon half of batter into and 8" square baking pan coated with cooking spray. Combine cranberry sauce and 3 tablespoons Granulated sugar, spoon over batter. Spoon remaining batter over cranberry mixture.
