MOCHA JAVA SMOOTHIE

Mocha Java Smoothie image

This delicious smoothie comes from Ellie Krieger's "So Easy" Cookbook. I make it for my teen daughter to take with her on her way to school. I really have to whir the blender to get the frozen bananas incorporated, so next time I plan to cut my bananas into smaller chunks before I freeze them. I also halved the recipe and still came out with two decent sized smoothies. I think a full recipe would make three large smoothies.

  • Chill Your Ingredients: Using cold coffee, frozen bananas, and chilled milk will ensure a thick and frosty smoothie.
  • Adjust the Consistency: Add more milk or yogurt for a thinner smoothie, or add more frozen banana or ice for a thicker one.
  • Experiment with Different Flavors: Try using different types of milk, such as almond or oat milk, or add a scoop of protein powder or nut butter for an extra boost of flavor and nutrients.
  • Make it a Meal: Add a scoop of protein powder, some Greek yogurt, or a handful of oats to make your smoothie more filling and satisfying.
  • Enjoy it Fresh: Smoothies are best enjoyed fresh, so drink them as soon as they are made.
