Tips:

  • To save time, use pre-washed mixed greens or salad mix.
  • Use fresh cranberries for the vinaigrette. If you don't have fresh cranberries, you can use dried cranberries, but reduce the amount to 1/4 cup.
  • If you don't have orange juice, you can use lemon juice or white wine vinegar.
  • To make the vinaigrette ahead of time, whisk all the ingredients together and store in a jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  • To make the salad more substantial, add grilled chicken, shrimp, or tofu.
  • For a more flavorful salad, use a variety of mixed greens, such as arugula, baby spinach, and romaine lettuce.
  • For a sweeter salad, add some chopped apples or pears.
  • For a more crunchy salad, add some chopped nuts, such as almonds, walnuts, or pecans.
