FROZEN MINTED LEMONADE

Frozen Minted Lemonade image

We had a nonalcoholic "bar" at our corporate summer picnic this year, and this was one of the most requested drinks. People came back for seconds, thirds, fourths.... Some might like more mint than the recipe calls for and some might like less. Quick and easy, I blend it up right before dinner and it is really refreshing! (Add 2 oz. of Vodka or Rum and it is a fabulous cocktail as well!)

MINTED LEMONADE

Minted Lemonade image

This is a friend's recipe for his favourite lemonade. I'm not a fan of lemonade myself, I just like the combination of lemon and mint, so I can't say if the amount of sugar is right or not and how much water is necessary to reach the desired strongness... You have to try which amount you like. Cook time is chilling time.

Categories     Non-Alcoholic Drinks

Time 1h5m

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 c lemon juice
1 Tbsp mint syrup
1 tsp sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Combine ingredients and chill for at least 1 hour.
  • 2. To serve, add iced plain or carbonated water to taste (depending on how thin you want your lemonade).
  • 3. If necessary, adjust the sugar to taste.

Tips:

  • Choose the right lemons: For the best flavor, use fresh, ripe lemons. Look for lemons that are heavy for their size and have a smooth, unblemished skin.
  • Wash the lemons thoroughly: Before you use the lemons, be sure to wash them thoroughly to remove any dirt or pesticides. You can use a vegetable brush to help you clean them.
  • Use a citrus juicer: A citrus juicer will make it easy to extract the juice from the lemons. If you don't have a citrus juicer, you can use a fork to juice the lemons.
  • Add sweetener to taste: The amount of sweetener you add to the lemonade is up to you. You can use sugar, honey, or stevia. If you are using sugar, be sure to stir it until it is completely dissolved.
  • Chill the lemonade before serving: Chilled lemonade is more refreshing than warm lemonade. You can chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish the lemonade with fresh mint: Fresh mint adds a nice flavor and aroma to the lemonade. You can add a few sprigs of mint to each glass of lemonade before serving.

Conclusion:

Minted lemonade is a refreshing and delicious drink that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste. Whether you like your lemonade sweet or tart, with or without mint, this recipe has you covered. So next time you are looking for a refreshing drink, give minted lemonade a try. You won't be disappointed!
