This is one of those easy to make and great tasting Pampered Chef recipes. I have used this several times with great success.

Yield 12 rolls

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 (11 ounce) package refrigerated French bread dough
2 tablespoons margarine, softened
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 teaspoons orange juice or 2 teaspoons apple juice
2 teaspoons water

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Unroll french bread dough and brush with margarine.
  • Combine brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over dough.
  • Roll dough lengthwise, pinch at seams and cut into 12 slices.
  • Arrange rolls in a single layer in baking dish.
  • Bake 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • To prepare glaze, combine powdered sugar, juice and water in small bowl.
  • Stir until smooth.
  • Spread glaze over warm rolls.

Topping:
1 can of big buttery crescent rolls
soft butter
Sweet Cinnamon Sprinkles or Sweet Caramel Sprinkles
Powdered sugar
1/8 tsp. vanilla
dash of milk

Steps:

  • Open can of crescent rolls and leave in one sheet and press seams together. Roll them out a little thinner. Spread with a little soft butter. Sprinkle with Sweet Cinnamon Sprinkles or Sweet Caramel Sprinkles Roll up from wide end. Cut in 1" pieces and place in Oval baker. Bake @ 350 for 12 mins. or until golden. Mix together powdered sugar with vanilla and milk. Mix until slightly thick. Spread or drizzle on rolls when they come out of the oven.

Tips:

  • For a richer flavor, use light or dark brown sugar instead of granulated sugar.
  • Add a teaspoon of vanilla extract or almond extract to the cinnamon sugar mixture for extra flavor.
  • If you don't have a rolling pin, you can use a wine bottle or a glass jar to roll out the dough.
  • To make sure the cinnamon rolls are cooked through, insert a toothpick into the center of one of the rolls. If it comes out clean, the rolls are done.
  • For a gooey center, brush the rolls with melted butter before baking.
  • For a crispy exterior, brush the rolls with an egg wash (one egg beaten with a tablespoon of water) before baking.
