Tips:

  • Use a good quality mincemeat. The better the mincemeat, the better the cookie bars will be. Look for a mincemeat that is made with high-quality ingredients and has a good balance of sweetness and tartness.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing the dough will make the cookie bars tough. Mix the dough just until it comes together.
  • Chill the dough before baking. Chilling the dough will help it to hold its shape and prevent it from spreading too much in the oven.
  • Bake the cookie bars until they are just set. Overbaking the cookie bars will make them dry and crumbly. Bake the cookie bars until the edges are golden brown and the center is just set.
  • Let the cookie bars cool completely before cutting them. Cutting the cookie bars while they are still warm will cause them to crumble.

Conclusion:

These mincemeat cookie bars are a delicious and festive holiday treat. They are easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Whether you are looking for a sweet treat to serve at your next holiday party or a gift to give to your friends and family, these mincemeat cookie bars are sure to be a hit.
