MIMI'S DOUBLE RICH CHOCOLATE CAKE (FROM A CAKE MIX)

Mimi's Double Rich Chocolate Cake (From a Cake Mix) image

This is a fantastic cake starting with a cake mix and so easy to do. I bake it in a angel food pan and it comes out great. Frost it with a butter frosting or cooked frosting and sprinkle with coconut and you will have a beauty of a cake. This is nice and dark and the white frosting makes it look so yummy.

$100 CHOCOLATE CAKE

The mayonnaise in this may sound strange, but it it the "secret ingredient" that makes the cake so moist. I recommend not using Miracle Whip as it contains spices and flavorings that might alter the taste. They make great cupcakes too.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate. The better the chocolate, the better the cake will be.
  • Make sure the eggs and butter are at room temperature before you start baking. This will help the ingredients to mix together more smoothly.
  • Do not overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the cake tough.
  • Bake the cake in a preheated oven. This will help the cake to rise evenly.
  • Let the cake cool completely before frosting it. This will help the frosting to set properly.
