A GOOD FUDGE.

Categories     Candies

Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 tsp salted butter
1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk
2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
6.15 oz milky way candy bars chopped
1 tsp vanilla

Steps:

  • 1. Line a 8 or 9 inch square pan with foil and spray with cooking spray. In a large microwave bowl combine milk, choc. chips, and candy bars microwave for 1 min. then stir, microwave for additional bursts of 20 sec. stirring after each burst, until mixture is smooth. Stir in vanilla. Spread the fudge into prepared pan. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Take fudge out of pan by lifting up the foil and transferring it to a cutting board. Cut into small pieces. Keep in covered container.

Tips:

  • To achieve a smooth and creamy fudge, use high-quality chocolate and butter. Cheap chocolate may contain fillers or additives that can affect the texture of the fudge.
  • Use a heavy-bottomed saucepan to prevent the fudge from burning. A heavy bottom will distribute the heat evenly and help to prevent hot spots.
  • Cook the fudge over medium heat, stirring constantly. Do not boil the fudge, as this can cause it to become grainy.
  • Use a candy thermometer to accurately measure the temperature of the fudge. The fudge is ready when it reaches a temperature of 234°F (112°C).
  • Pour the fudge into a prepared pan and let it cool completely before cutting it into squares. This will help to prevent the fudge from crumbling.
  • Store the fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. You can also freeze the fudge for up to 3 months.

Conclusion:

Milky Way fudge is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. With its rich chocolate flavor and creamy texture, this fudge is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give this Milky Way fudge recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
